Levi Hale Sr. and Catherine Tucker - All children appear to have been born in Richland, Indiana except for James, who is the oldest son, and not included in the 1820 Spencer County Census.
Thomas Hale and Elizabeth Devine - John Hale Sr > Joseph Hale Jr > Thomas Hale. This Thomas Hale is not the private spoke of in the 8th Virginia Regiment, 1778 - 1779. Commanded by Col. Abraham Bowman. See the Thomas Hale, the Revolutionary war soldier, who also married an "Elizabeth".

James Hale and Mary Ann Winkler - James Hale, son of Levi Hale Sr., and Catherine (Tucker) Hale, born July 30, 1794, died March 4, 1856; is buried in the Pleasant Valley cemetery, near Richland, Indiana. His daughter Selina (Hale) Baldwin, and his brother, Davis Hale are also buried there.
