Folks, I don't know where you got your list of John Hale & Mary Willis's children but his last will named only the minor children and stated that his estate was to be divided among his living children at the time that the minors became of age. The proven children living in 1821 are listed in Mercer County Deedbook 12, Page 276, July, 21, 1821 as follows: Mercer Co. Deed Book 12, page 276, dated 21 July 1821: Levi Hale of Spencer Co., Ind. Rhoda Scott of Christian Co., Ky Joseph Hale John Hale William Huff and Abigail his wife John McEntire and Rebecca his wife David Devine and Cassandra his wife James Dunn and Hannah his wife of Washington Co., Ky all heirs and devicees of John Hale deceased, convey to Andrew Devine of Mercer Co., 128 acres of land bounded by Chaplin Fk. for $150. 28 acres on the east end of the said tract of land reserved for Mary Hale, widow of the said John Hale, as long as she shall live.
